Our services.

For all of us, the way in which we want our funeral treated is a very personal decision.

You may wish to be buried at sea in a waterproof steel coffin. Have your ashes turned into a diamond? Or simply prefer the compassion of all-female funeral directors. We can also make arrangements for repatriation to, or from, Australia.

In addition, we will:

  • Meet you to discuss the funeral arrangements at a convenient time and place;

  • Arrange for the deceased to be moved to our funeral home at any time of the day or night;

  • Liaise with clergy or celebrant regarding the type of service, the date, time and place;

  • Assist you in your selection of a coffin or casket from our extensive range;

  • Obtain the burial or cremation certificate from the doctor or coroner;

  • Organise the reservation of a grave or a time for cremation with either cemetery or crematorium authorities;

  • Advise Centrelink on your behalf;

  • Complete registration details with the Government Registrar, and if required, arrange and pay for certified copies;

Peter Elberg Funerals building has recently expanded with two new, state-of-the-art chapels and function centres. These consist of the Walter Loxton Chapel (pictured) for larger services, and the Anna Maria Chapel for smaller services.

The facility also houses separate areas for holding wakes, with fully-catered meals or simple tea and coffee. Read about the amazing story behind the Walter Loxton Chapel here.

The best way to personalise your funeral, while ensuring the cost will never increase, is to pre-pay your selections.

No matter how simple or elaborate, a prepaid fixed-price funeral plan from Peter Elberg Funerals will ensure your wishes are met without ever having to pay additional fees.
